Ricardo Aguado

Ricardo Aguado holds a BA in Economic and Business Science from the University of Deusto and a PhD in Applied Economics from the University of the Basque Country. He is currently a Lecturer and Researcher with a PhD at the University of Deusto, where he teaches at the Bilbao campus. He teaches BA courses in Business Administration and Management and Executive MBA master’s degree courses. Specifically, he teaches the following BA subjects: Spanish and World Economy, Microeconomics, and Economics and International Relations, and the following postgraduate subjects: Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Economic Policy. His publications mainly focus on economic, environmental, and social sustainability, as well as the sustainability of competitiveness and economic development. He is part of the Business Competitiveness and Economic Development research group (CEDE). Other areas of research interest include economic development and Catholic Social Thought.

Consuelo Garcia de la Torre

Dr. Consuelo García de la Torre is a full-time research professor at EGADE Business School Monterrey, member of the SNI National Research System of Mexico (SNI1), and researcher at the Strategic Research Group in Social Innovation. She holds a Ph.D. in Administración from HEC University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and a Master’s Degree in Management at the Lovaina-la- Nueva en Bélgica University.

Dr. Consuelo García de la Torre’s fields of expertise include: Sustainability; Ethics and Corporate Governance; Entrepreneurship; Social Responsibility; Consumer Behaviour; Marketing Strategy and International Marketing; Social Marketing; Global Management; Industrial Psychology; Management and Humanism; Intercultural Negotiations.

Ernestina Giudici

Ernestina Giudici is a retired Full Professor of Management and Business Communication at the University of Cagliari, Italy.

She is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the International Journal of Quality and Services Sciences (Emerald), the Editorial Review Board of the Transnational Marketing Journal, and several others. She served for many years as Dean of the Faculty of Economics in Cagliari and as Doctorate Coordinator.

She is currently the President of the Italian Chapter of the Humanistic Management Association and sits on the Advisory Board of the International Humanistic Management Association (IHMA).

Her main areas of research include business communication, storytelling and digital storytelling, humanistic management and integrity, corruption, ethical sustainable development, sustainability, and neurotourism.

Leading international journals have published her work. In 2021, she published two co-edited Routledge books: Humanistic Tourism: Values, Norms and Dignity and Humanistic Management and Sustainable Tourism: Human, Social and Environmental Challenges.

Michael Pirson

Michael Pirson holds the James A.F. Stoner Chair for Global Sustainability at Fordham University and serves as Chair of the Leading People and Organizations Area and Director of the Center for Humanistic Management. He is a Full Professor with a focus on Global Sustainability and Social Entrepreneurship. He is a research associate at Harvard University’s Human Flourishing Program (HFP).

He co-founded the Humanistic Management Network and is the founder and president of the International Humanistic Management Association. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Humanistic Management Journal. Pirson is a full member of the Club of Rome, leads the Humanistic Management working group at UN PRME, and advises a number of social enterprises. He has received numerous awards for his work, including honors from the Academy of Management and the Association of Jesuit Universities. Michael Pirson is a father of three young sons.

Erica Steckler

Erica L. Steckler is an Assistant Professor of Management in the Robert J. Manning School of Business (MSB) and Co-Director of the Donahue Center for Business Ethics & Social Responsibility at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. She received her PhD from the Department of Management and Organization at Boston College.

Her recent research focuses on stakeholder perceptions of organizational authenticity within the global domains of sustainability and corporate responsibility. Situated at the intersection of organizational theory, strategic management, and social innovation, this work builds on and extends theories of organizational identity, institutional theory, and social change.

She is the recipient of the 2015 Best Dissertation Award from the Academy of Management Social Issues in Management (SIM) Division. Her work has been published in the Journal of Business Ethics, Business and Society Review, Journal of Corporate Citizenship, Humanistic Management Journal, and edited volumes. She has served on the Editorial Board of the Academy of Management Review (AMR) and is currently a Research Fellow at the W. Michael Hoffman Center for Business Ethics at Bentley University. She is the Founding President of the US Humanistic Management Association (US HMA) and sits on the Advisory Board of the International Humanistic Management Association (IHMA).

Benito Teehankee

Dr. Benito L. Teehankee is a Full Professor in the Management and Organization Department of the Ramon V. del Rosario College of Business at De La Salle University. He teaches courses in strategic management, corporate governance, action research, and ethics.

He has served as a speaker or consultant to various private, government, and educational organizations, including Globe Telecom, PLDT, Siemens, Andersen Consulting, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, the World Health Organization, the Bureau of Food and Drugs, the Department of Health, and the Department of the Interior and Local Governments, among others.

Internationally, he is a governing member of the International Humanistic Management Association and the Action Research Plus Network. He is a member of the Academy of Management.

David Wasieleski

David M. Wasieleski is the Chair of the Management and Marketing Department and Professor of Management & Business Ethics in the Palumbo Donahue School of Business at Duquesne University. His academic research focuses on natural science approaches to understanding ethical decision-making and the formation of social contracts within organizational contexts. He also studies cognitive biases in decision-making and behavior in workplace environments.

At Duquesne, he teaches business ethics, organizational behavior, and public affairs. He currently serves as Associate Editor for Business and Society and Book Review Editor for the Journal of Business Ethics Education, and sits on the editorial board of the Journal of Organizational Moral Psychology. As a member of the Academy of Management, he reviews papers for the Organizational Behavior Division, the Social Issues in Management Division, and the Management and Organization Cognition Division. He served as Chair of the Book Award Committee of the SIM Division (2008–2009) and Chair of the Membership Committee of the SIM Division (2009).

Osmar Arandia

Dr. Osmar Arandia majored in Business Administration at the Monterrey Campus of ITESM, graduating in 1993. He later earned a Master’s degree in Marketing from EGADE Business School in 2011 and a doctoral degree in Management Sciences in 2012. His specialty is strategy and social responsibility, and the title of his thesis is Humanistic Management: A Case Study from the Steel Industry. His research interests focus on social responsibility, business ethics, and humanistic management.

Regarding his professional trajectory, Osmar has held positions such as Academic Director of Administration at UDEM, Director of Strategic Development at UCC, and Coordinator for business graduate degree programs.

In industry, he has held senior roles in commercial and marketing areas across both industry and service sectors.
