An award-winning medical doctor and nephrologist turned philosopher and director of the Institute of Humanities, Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos Nigeria.
With over a decade of clinical expertise in public and private healthcare across Africa and Europe, Adaora’s journey began in healing bodies, evolving into a quest to heal minds and societies. She has an MBBS (Medicine and Surgery) from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, with specializations in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. She won the Dr O.O Elegbeleye Prize and the Dr A.F.B Mabadeje Prize for the best national candidate in 2008 and 2011 respectively.
She has a PhD (Summa cum Laude) in Philosophical Anthropology and Ethics from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, Rome, Italy. She currently teaches both undergraduates and graduates Anthropology, Ethics, Soft Skills, and Leadership. Her research interests include transforming suffering into flourishing, medical humanities, self-leadership, and applied ethics.
Beyond academia, Adaora is a dedicated mentor, speaker, and advocate for youth empowerment. She channels her passion for education into initiatives that shape future leaders and drive social change. She is the director of Asterhall, a project of the Nigerian Association for Women’s Advancement (NAWA), aimed at providing holistic education to girls and women through social, cultural, professional, and spiritual activities.
