Radmila Jovanovic (UNIGE MBA, Switzerland, MA in Anglistics, Faculty of Philosophy, Serbia) is a scholar of Liberal Arts & Humanities. She thinks that the Great Books are necessary and early in her formation as an educator she chose the Western Canon as her orientation and her foundation. Important issues such as virtue, beauty, community, wonder, suffering and meaning continue to be the focus of her interests as she seeks to expand her knowledge by learning about other philosophies, cultures and other parts of the world. Through her work in the world of diplomacy and the international affairs, she demonstrated not only her strong sense of justice and compassion, but also the “sense making” based on the analysis of today’s economy and modern society. She is inspired by Humanistic Leadership and Stewardship of Change and has been committed to the work of IHMA and its affiliates. Throughout her career she has intentionally moved from one sector to another, from the world of profits to the world of non-profits and she remains a keen advocate for interdisciplinary approach to studies, research and practices. Radmila’s current work is focused on Making Systemic Change happen (Action research) and she writes about Place Based strategy (Localization) relevant for the work of Embassies, the Foreign Missions in the cities hosting them around the world. She is a Mentor at the University of Geneva (UNIGE) and an Enrichment Consultant and a Tutor at the American School of The Hague.
