Andrea Caldwell Marquez is an Assistant Professor of Management in the Alvarez College of Business at UT San Antonio. She received her PhD from the University of Texas at Austin, her MBA from the University of Notre Dame, and undergraduate degrees in Marketing, Spanish, and International Studies from Penn State University. Andrea is passionate about using her research and teaching to advance a more socially responsible and sustainable approach to business management. In particular, she has a strong interest in organizational responses to society’s grand challenges, and her research has investigated organizations such as solar ventures, social impact accelerators, and a Colombian peacebuilding NGO. Before pursuing an academic career, Andrea held positions in strategy and business development at Deloitte, DuPont, and NV Homes. On a personal note, she enjoys traveling, reading, staying active, and spending time with her family (husband Victor, stepdaughters Lovelle and Juliette, and rescue dog Roxy).
