About our guest



Christopher S. Reina is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), and the Founder and President of Leading Without Ego, LLCHe consults and leads trainings on mindfulness and mindful leadership, and managing the emotional space within organizations. His research focuses on the intersection of leadership, mindfulness, and emotions in the workplace and how they bring about employee and organizational well-being. Christopher received his Ph.D. in Business Administration from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and he has extensive industry experience in leadership training and development as well as sales and marketing in the healthcare and food industries. His research has been featured in such outlets as Harvard Business Review, Leadership Quarterly, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organization Science, and he is an author of several book chapter on the topics of mindfulness, emotions, and neuroscience.

Sophia Town is Humanistic Management Research Fellow and Coordinator of the Research Center Consortium. She is a Visting researcher at Fordham University and received her Ph.D. from Arizona State University studying Mindful Leadership and Paradox.
